ASIR membership qualification shall be categorised into Professional and Non-professional grades. The progression option is open to those who wish to be subsequently upgraded for career advancement and development. Entry Qualification The qualifying criteria are as follows:

1) No existing criminal or history of criminal records.

2) Applicant(s) must be associated the following communities, past or present: Military; Law Enforcement; Security; Health and Safety; Intelligence-Analyst.

3) Professional Grade applicants must have successfully completed an ASIRS Diploma, Certificate course, or from a recognised industry body.
