The Certificate in Managing Security Search Operations is a 3 day program structured to balance the interest, job characteristic requirements and capability/ limitation potentials of private security practitioners and law enforcement officers. Its design encompasses an array of search operations (types), covering both Defensive and certain aspects of Offensive Search operations. For the latter, it involves search conditions in non-permissible environments (threat presence) – mainly in the domain of law enforcement officers, the military and in the relevance to commercial interest, when a facility has been attacked.
Generically, Certificate in Managing Security Search Operations strives to equip participants with fundamental knowledge to: Advise, Plan and Execute a Search Operation under varying threat environment and conditions. Apart from classroom lectures, lessons will be reinforced via table top exercises and a physical search of a room where simulated IEDs will be concealed.
Contents in the Certificate in Managing Security Search Operations program are usually conducted at national training centres such as law enforcement academies and military training institutions. Its contents offer intensity and depth ; comparative to those commonly available at public security course. Instructors facilitating this program are qualified ex-military trainers with decades of operational experiences in this, and C-IED related disciplines.
